Walker Brook farm consists of 225 acres and is nestled among the rolling hills and sweeping meadows of the historic town of New Milford. The Project has been developed as a cluster subdivision with over half of the property being retained as open space for the exclusive enjoyment the community residents. The Farm is traversed by wooded trails and frequented by the most majestic of New England wildlife.
This is not a condominium community; each of the 75 homes will be located on its own building lot. The lot sizes will vary with the minimum of 40,000sf. All of the Roads will be owned and maintained by the Town. The Open Space will is owned by the community residents. The majority of the open space will be restricted for passive recreational use with designated areas allowing for more intense recreational development.
Ashlar of Newtown is 500 bed assited living and rehabilitation hospital located in Newtown CT. L. Edwards provided site design, permitting and land surveying services for this project. This project was also unique in that it required one of largest septic systems in the State of Connecticut.
